Seemingly frightening times are upon us….frightening, if we let them conquer our minds and actions. As the days roll into weeks, we might feel like hiding under some cushions. But, perhaps there’s a better action to consider taking…..
Perhaps, Baden Powell was onto something back in 1910 when he created an organization who’s motto consisted of these 2 words: Be Prepared.
The Scout motto means that you are always ready to do what is necessary to help others. It also means you are ready, willing, and able to do what is necessary in any situation that comes along.
Neighbor helping neighbor. Business owners helping employees. You helping yourself by staying focused.
Relating this concept of being prepared and helping others to your real estate investments is but a small skip and a jump….
In Howard Marks’ book, The Most Important Things in Investing, he writes:
“Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted. Good times teach only bad lessons: That investing is easy, that you know its secrets, and that you needn’t worry about risk. The most valuable lessons are learned in tough times.”
Take Away’s from today’s concise article:
- Learn the hard lessons now.
- This market is teaching all of us new ways & means to manage and mitigate risk.
- Be Prepared for what’s to come.
- Help others.
You’ll come out of this a much more experienced Landlord, Investor, and more Financially Free.
